Just Add Lightness 2 Year Limited Warranty

Thank you for your purchase of Just Add Lightness (JAL) products. JAL products are innovative and technologically high-quality products that are carefully-tested and subject to the strict monitoring undertaken by our quality control system. While we utilise only the best manufacturing practices, there may be very rare cases of product failure, and this warranty covers these instances.

All products manufactured by JAL are fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. Products not produced, but supplied by JAL have a one (1) year warranty from date of purchase. The Warranty period for each product is clearly shown on each product page. Warranty settlements will not exceed the cost of the original component. Each warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

The JAL Limited Warranty does not cover:

  1. Damage/failure resulting from incorrect installation.
  2. Labour charges relating to the installation, repair or removal of JAL products.
  3. Damage/failure caused by other connected/related component(s).
  4. Damage/failure due to accidental damage, negligence, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact or other external cause.
  5. Unauthorised modification, repair or disassembly of our product(s).
  6. Any other cause not arising out of defects in material and/or workmanship.

This warranty shall not apply to, nor cover any other claims whatsoever.

If you believe your JAL product is defective, it must be returned to JAL for inspection by our warranty claims department. After inspection, JAL will determine whether the product will be repaired, replaced or considered for an out of warranty repair in accordance with the JAL Limited Warranty.

When returning a product, please contact us at support@justaddlightness.co.uk first to arrange the return. Please pack the items securely and label them with your full name and return address. For your protection we recommend that all returns are sent by registered post or recorded delivery. JAL will accept no liability for products damaged or lost in transit.

For customers returning warranty parts from outside of the UK, we request that All shipping paperwork used by either a carrier or the Post Office state the return reason as “For Repair” or “Warranty Item Only”. Failure to do so could incur additional Customs & Excise charges which the customer MAY be liable for.

Out of Warranty Repairs

JAL products are designed and tested to deliver years of trouble-free performance. In the unlikely event that your JAL product should develop a problem after the standard Limited Warranty has expired then our product repair service may be able to repair your product for you.

Products returned for out of warranty repairs will be fully assessed by JAL. The customer will be emailed a quote for the repair, return postage and given and estimated turnaround time. If agreeable to the repair costs then an invoice will be issued to the customer. Invoices must be paid in full before the repair process can begin. We recommend that all out of warranty products are sent by registered post or recorded delivery. JAL will accept no liability for products damaged or lost in transit.
